Maybe its time to rethink the "administration" of colleges, which have hired more and more administrators and less and less professors. What is higher education for?
No college needs more ineffectual sociologists like this professor. She's completely off topic.
Same with my school. It’s ridiculous we are literally understaffed on the professors and the school uses masters and PhD students as professors to save money. Even have a class where the professor never teaches but have TA techie several classes
Students are carrying huge loads of loans to pay for this administrative ineptitude. Yet no student group has "connected the dots." Colleges should provide the same level of efficiency as the private sector.
It's for indoctrinating children to become good little Eichmanns for Biden and the left.

It's not the speech it's their actions. The students made demands and the university said no. The university gave demands for them to leave and the students said no, so here we are.
I'm just thinking logically about their demands. what can anyone here do but the administration about what's going on over there all they could do is talk to him. why don't they go to Israel and protest all jokes aside?

That's a fairly simple request, but instead they activate the police state and suppress the wishes of their population.
Just remember that there are laws specifically against criticizing Israel.
And there are laws barring certain institutions from federal funding if those institutions are deemed to be lax on criticism of Israel.
Combine this with the police state/militarized police as well as mass censorship in media and comments, and what could go wrong, right?

The students know they are being intentionally irritating, promising not to leave unless their demands are met. 18-year-olds arrive at a university with an inflated view of their own opinions and an inflated view of their place at the university.
This is a good time to learn some life lessons. They are not above the law no matter how big their egos and their views. They want their opinions to be heard, do what everyone does protest peacefully and not break any law.

An institution of higher learning really loses credibility when its own policies cannot hold up to real world challenges like this. I know of many institutions of much lower learning that have no trouble understanding that the kids don’t run the show. This really has little to do with Israel/Palestine, it has to do with true institutions vs fleeting mobs.

In fact, the most is disturbing part is NYPD being invited on campus. We were not annoyed by the protesters. I was studying at Butler for the whole week. Most of the protester were clam and do their own thing on the lawn.
